Learn about some new developments in industrial temperature measurement, including SI traceable thermal imaging, practical driftless Johnson noise thermometry up to 1200 °C, practical phosphor thermometry for surface temperature measurements up to 1250 °C, and AI approaches to thermometry in gas temperature measurement, self-validating thermocouples, and surface thermometry.

Sensor networks are becoming increasingly common, and metrology for them is being developed at pace. Some of these developments will be presented in the context of temperature and heat flow measurement in district heating networks and correcting Pt-Rh thermocouple drift.

Finally, trends in digitalization of calibration and measurement will be discussed.
