FFT Scotland will host a stakeholders’ participation event aiming at sharing learning and experiences from Healing Neighbourhoods project.

About this Event

Freedom from Torture (FFT) aims to empower torture survivors while advancing human rights, equal citizenship and community cohesion through participative democracy as well as progressing a proactive role in upholding human rights and equality at various levels:

FFT Scotland would like to invite you to a stakeholders’ participation event aiming at sharing learning and experiences from our work and the Healing Neighbourhood Project, in relation to promoting human rights, equality and the empowerment of torture survivors through community learning and development and enhancing democratic participation in all aspects of Scottish life. In a nutshell, the event will re-affirm the collaborative work of our diverse communities, stakeholders and partners who share genuine commitment to enhancing and progressing human rights and equality for all. In addition, the event will present a focused platform to showcasing FFT and Scotland’s pledge to upholding the fundamental principles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) as well as United Nations Convention Against Torture (UNCAT).
