Lancet Health Forum NCD alliance

Objective: To strengthen broad participation in support of the commitments from the UN High Level Meeting on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by providing the evidence to help countries meet their commitments.

Launch of the new Lancet series on NCDs and development
Monday 11th February 2013

Session will reflect on the five themes covered by the papers in the series: convening partners to align around action, disseminating knowledge for action, advocacy to deliver the agreed mortality reduction goal (“25 x 25”), ensuring accountability and resourcing and the post-2015 development agenda.

Second annual symposium of the LSHTM Centre for Global NCDs
Tuesday 12th February 2013

Jointly organised by the Centre on Global Health and Change

Session will focus on preventing global NCDs through low carbon development. The event will provide an important forum for discussing interdisciplinary approaches to policy development including those outside the health sector such as transport, food systems and the environment.
