The SDF are excited to launch the Special Interest Group – Advancing Women’s Leadership, headlining the events to celebrate International Women’s Day from the 8th to 12th March.

We would love to see as many colleagues as possible joining us to network.

Speak for Yourself

In this talk, Kathryn Waddington will critically reflect on her experience as a woman in leadership—and followership—roles, and the need for women to ‘speak for themselves’ in situations where their voice/s may have been unheard, or silenced.

Kathryn is a principal fellow of the higher education academy and reader in work and organisational psychology at the University of Westminster. She has held academic leadership roles at Westminster and at City, University of London.

The SDF is pleased to announce that one of Kathryn’s books will be given as a prize. Towards the Compassionate University: From Golden Thread to Global Impact

This book makes a significant contribution to the need for compassion in the 21st-century neoliberal university. The SDF will offer one copy of this book on kindle (readable on any device) as a prize during the launch of the SIG.
