Is there parking at the venue?

Although we don't have a car park, unrestricted parking is available on local streets. Allow around 10 mins for parking and accessing the venue.

Who runs The Maker's Nook?

The Maker’s Nook is run by the Trafford Methodist Circuit — a friendly team of crafters and volunteers passionate about creativity, community, and connection. Everyone’s welcome to make, chat, and unwind… and there’s always a warm drink waiting for you!

Do I have to be a member of the Church to attend?

Not at all! The Maker’s Nook is open to everyone — you don’t need to be a church member (or even crafty!) to join in. Just come as you are, bring your curiosity, and enjoy a warm welcome, good company, and the joy of making something by hand.

Stitch the Advent themes of hope, peace, love, and joy in this reflective embroidery series. Patterns and materials provided.

If you already enjoy embroidery, this is the perfect way to weave creativity and contemplation together this Advent. Over one, two or three evenings, you’ll create embroidered pieces inspired by the themes of Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy.
We’ll provide patterns and materials — you bring your stitching skills and an open heart. Each session includes gentle reflections and refreshments to keep the creative spirit flowing. Join us on Wednesdays in December.
