Course Overview:
Join us for a series of informative sessions on key advice topics about welfare & disability benefits.
The sessions are for frontline volunteers and workers based in Westminster who do not work specifically in the giving of advice on welfare benefits but who want to know more about the issues relevant to their clients.
We encourage participants to bring anonymised client sample case studies for discussion.
Welfare & Disability Benefits
Are your clients confused about the benefit system? This session will look at the different types of benefits, their main qualifying rules and the way the system fits together. Understand better the difference between contributory, non-contributory and means tested benefits and find out who can claim each of the benefits which make up the system. Covers the main welfare benefits of Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment.

All sessions start at 10AM prompt, please arrive by 9.45AM for coffee and networking beforehand. There is a 1 hour break at 12:00 with the session ending at 3PM.
