Advoca Focus Group for Non Malignant Patients
Overview
We’re hosting an informal focus group in partnership with Advoca Health. Advoca is a free mobile app designed to support people living with rare or serious conditions, and to empower the organisations that represent them.
Advoca helps you record and summarise your medical appointments, giving you a clear, easy to refer back to summary of what was discussed. It also connects you with reliable, evidence-based information from the NHS, the charity community, and other trusted sources. Built by NHS clinicians, it has strong safety controls and is continually evolving to become a full AI health assistant.
Who this session is for:
This focus group is open to people with lived experience of brain tumours, family members, and caregivers who manage or support care. You don’t need technical knowledge, just a willingness to share what works, what’s difficult, and what would genuinely help you.
What we’ll cover:
Michael and Shyam from the Advoca team will share their vision for the app, walk through what it can currently do, and ask for honest feedback. We particularly want to explore what would make the app easier, more useful, or more supportive in real-life healthcare situations.
Your insights will directly shape how Advoca develops—priorities, features, usability, and the type of support it offers for people navigating diagnosis, treatment, or ongoing care.
We hope you’ll join us and help ensure that Advoca grows in a way that reflects real needs, real challenges, and the lived experiences of our community.
