Advonet: Advocacy consortium launch event
Date and time
Description
Advonet and its partners Age UK Leeds, SignHealth and Touchstone have been awarded a new five-year contract to provide advocacy services in Leeds. As part of that, we will be holding an information event to launch a new advocacy consortium for Leeds, which Advonet is a big part of.
The event is to promote what the new consortium does. This includes promoting empowerment, stronger partnerships with disadvantaged communities throughout Leeds, promoting the idea of self-advocacy and offering the right amount of advocacy.
The event is open to our new advocacy partners and members of the public. It is free to attend.
On the day, we will be:
-
Showing what advocacy can do for you
-
Show videos on how innovative advocacy can be
-
Hold round table discussions on areas including self-advocacy, advocacy training and addressing any gaps in advocacy provision
