About this event

Aerial Hammock is a breath-led movement class that uses the support of a suspended fabric hammock to explore strength, softness, and spaciousness — both on the ground and in the air. Drawing from aerial yoga, somatics, and acrobatic flow, this class is an invitation to play with gravity, flip perspectives, and discover calm through dynamic movement.

You’ll be guided through grounded sequences, gentle inversions, and optional aerial tricks in a supportive and inclusive environment. No previous aerial experience is necessary — just a willingness to move, breathe, and explore.

Leave feeling lighter, more open, and quietly empowered — connected to your body, your breath, and the space around you.

Aerial Hammocks is hosted in a brand new studio based in Hackney Downs. Check out We The Conscious for all sessions + events. Sat in touch, follow us on Instagram

Rory McNeil is a movement teacher and facilitator offering practices that reconnect body, breath, and awareness. Drawing from yoga, qigong, and aerial disciplines, Rory’s classes are grounded, spacious, and designed to guide students toward a more attuned and embodied experience of themselves.

With a deep respect for the intelligence of the body and a softness in approach, Rory’s teaching invites presence over performance, curiosity over control. His sessions create a held space to explore strength, fluidity, and rest, on the mat, in the air, and within.
Rooted in ritual, rhythm, and breath, Rory’s work supports others in returning to their center, moving with intention, and cultivating a sense of ease through embodied practice.

As a queer person, Rory is passionate about creating spaces that are inclusive, affirming, and alive to the diversity of human experience. He draws from his own lived journey within the LGBTQ+ community to hold classes where individuals of all identities can feel seen, safe, and free to explore embodiment on their own terms — without expectation, and with deep care.
