Event description
A six week workshop series on Aerospace Quality Standards and Certification, covering both ISO9001 and AS9100.

About this event

Operating in the aerospace sector can be overwhelming for SME’s who are not sure of the standards and certifications required by the industry. Aerospace Unlocking Potential and UKQMS would like to invite you to apply for a place on a free 12-hour standards and certification workshop, covering ISO9001 and AS9100, which will equip you with the tools and knowledge to ensure compliance and give the opportunity to ask questions to an expert.

Sessions will take place online in six two-hour bite-sized chunks, on Wednesday evenings between 19:00 and 21:00 from the 8th of September. SME’s accepted onto the workshop will have the choice to sign up to all six sessions, or pick the ones most relevant to them.

Course outline

Session 1 – Introduction to the standards

  • Introduction to the aim of the sessions (awareness, insight, self-evaluation, risks and opportunities, decision point)

  • The mindset required to embrace the standards

Session 2 – ISO9001 Implementations

Session 3 – Introducing the aerospace quality standard

Session 4 – Aerospace Quality System Implementation

The workshop is open to eligible Midlands based SME’s who are already enrolled on the Aerospace Unlocking Potential programme.
