Event description
Helping businesses to navigate current challenging economic environment; Supporting UK economic recovery and growth

About this Event

The spread of Covid‑19 and the measures to contain it are having a significant impact on the UK economy and businesses. Activity has fallen sharply since the beginning of the year and unemployment has risen markedly. The unprecedented situation means that the outlook for the UK and global economies is unusually uncertain. It will depend critically on the evolution of the pandemic, and how governments, households and businesses respond to it.

Join our discussion with Graeme Chaplin - Agent for West Midlands & Oxfordshire at Bank of England as he discuss the latest Bank’s Monetary Policy Report and economic implications to keep inflation low and stable to maintain price stability, support growth, jobs and the Government’s economic policy.
