Following the outstanding success of the inaugural Scottish Gala Night, AFBE-UK is thrilled to present yet another End of Year Event. This black tie event brings together Business Leaders, Politicians, Oil and Gas Professionals, the Academia and Students to share ideas and network in the exclusive comfort of the Marcliffe at the scenic Royal Deeside of Europe’s Energy Capital.
The theme of the event is Raising Business Leaders in the Engineering Industry and will have the following distinguished persons as the keynote speakers:
- Bob Keiller became CEO of Wood Group in November 2012, having served previously as CEO of Wood Group PSN. Bob led the management buyout of PSN from Halliburton in 2006 and its subsequent sale to Wood Group in 2011. Bob is a chartered Engineer with a Master of Engineering degree from Heriot-Watt University. He was previously chairman of the Offshore Contracting Association (OCA) and co-chair of the cross-industry trade body Oil and Gas UK.
- Patrick Clarke has been the Director of Network Operations at UK Power Networks since April 2011 making him responsible for the operations of the largest Power Distribution business in the United Kingdom. Patrick has previously been Director of Connections at EDF Energy and holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School. He has also undertaken a number of significant engineering and commercial roles including being overall responsible for the design and build of the Olympic Park power distribution network. He was awarded an OBE in 2012 for his services to black and minority ethnic youth mentoring.
There will also be a variety of multicultural entertainment on the night, enjoyed over a special three course meal prepared by the renowned Marcliffe Chefs - Scotland's finest.
