AFBE-UK Scotland is thrilled to present yet another end of year Gala event. This black tie event brings together Business Leaders, Politicians, Oil and Gas Professionals, the Academia and Students to share ideas and network in the exclusive comfort of the Marcliffe at the scenic Royal Deeside of Europe’s Energy Capital.
The theme of the event is The Enterprising Engineer and the keynote will be delivered by Jim McColl (OBE).
Jim McColl is one of Scotland’s most successful business men. He is the founder and CEO of Clyde Blowers Capital (CBC), a mid-market private equity fund focused on acquiring and growing small and medium sized Engineering and Manufacturing businesses, with a portfolio of business that spans the globe.
In September 2008, Jim led the largest transaction in CBC's history by acquiring the entire Fluid & Power Division of Textron Inc, an American Fortune 500 multi-industry company in a deal worth over $1 billion for which he received the Deal of the Year Award and Investment Deal of the Year Award at the Insider Deals: Dealmakers Awards.
Join us at the Gala for an evening of inspiration from a true Enterprising Engineer. There will be a variety of multicultural entertainment on the night, including a performance by a home grown songstress, Millicent, enjoyed over a special three course meal prepared by the renowned Marcliffe Chefs.
