Afon Prysor Gorge for Outdoor Instructors

This workshop will guide you along the banks of the Afon Prysor through the Ceunant Llennyrch, National Nature Reserve. You will gain incite from three of the leading environmental organisations in Wales.
Woodland Trust a conservation charity to protect woods and inspire people to enjoy the nature on their doorstep.
Plantlife, charity solely dedicated to saving wild plants and their habitats
Natural Resources Wales manages the Ceunant Llennyrch, National Nature Reserve.
This unique environment is special on an internation scale. The habitats encountered whilst gorge walking are likened to temperate rain forest. This workshop will focus on the importance of protected sites, how to ensure minimal impact whilst guiding groups, species identification and the gorge walking code of conduct.
Meet layby on the main road near Maentwrog Power station at SH 6544 3968 (room for a few cars, max 5). We will then travel up to the upper car park to start the session.
Bring waterproofs and suitable footwear.
