Event description

Description

The Africa Roundtable Toronto will draw delegates from across Africa and Canada to converge and deliberate on the role entrepreneurs could play in growing the African economies.

The Roundtable aims to bring together representatives from the private sector, development agencies, policy makers, NGOs, Young entrepreneurs, Young people in Policy making, African Diaspora young leaders and think tanks to reflect upon the current direction, the challenges and the pathways to generate more impactful social and economic development in Africa. The dialogue will be built upon experiences from the agricultural sector, creative industry, health, and ICT sector, and will explore pathways for enhanced collaboration.

The Roundtable will discuss the critical role that the civil society and private sector can play alongside Governments to advance the 2030 Agenda and the African Union's Agenda 2063, in alignment with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.

Participants are invited to share their experiences with an audience of leaders from business, civil society, academia, and government on how business can support Africa in pursuit of development objectives to achieve “The Africa We Want”.

Register now to secure your space as a delegate and join the conversation with our awesome line of speakers from the government, business world, non-profit and civil society professionals.

Please note that the Roundtable will be broadcasted live on our social media handle throughout the event, and we have only 100 unique slot for participants.

The event is organised by the Commonwealth Africa Initiative in partnership with PAACATI, GLEEHD and other organisations
