Description

“Migrants and the NHS – Can the NHS survive in the face of Brexit”

In September 2017, the Guardian newspaper reported that almost 10,000 EU health workers quit NHS since the Brexit vote! According to TheKingsFund, the Brexit decision will have “far-reaching implications for health and social care in England.” In light of this, at this year’s Africa Week Health Forum we would like to identify some of the likely impacts of the exodus already seen in many sectors on the health sector and strongly highlighting some of the outstanding contributions African migrants have made to the NHS

This event is aimed at bringing together health professionals from the University, several health related sectors and the community to discuss the health challenges facing the African continent and the BAME community.

Any health charities or health organisations interested in exhibiting at the event should contact us at africaweekuk@gmail.com

Finally, you would get to try some African Inspired pastries and light bites (not one to miss!).
