Community drum circle

Come and join us in our community drum circle, predominantly African djembe but all drums and abilities welcome.
There are many benefits to drumming, it's lots of fun but it can also be incredibly healing, generating a great sense of well-being and connection.
There's obviously an incredibly primeval power to drumming, it's no coincidence that they have been used in many cultures throughout history. The low frequency reverberations are known to permeate deep into the body, possibly more so than high frequencies, aiding to a sense of grounding.
Drumming can increase alpha waves leading to a calmness and greater sense of self-awareness. Also proven to stimulate and synchronize both hemispheres of the brain at once, creating new connections and neural pathways - you can actually drum yourself smarter...!
Overall everyone experiences the fun factor though, never fails to put a smile on your face.
