Event description
A free discussion and networking event for Greater Manchester employers. A chance to share experiences and hear about new research

About this event

Kickstart was a government programme which funds new jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit.

Employers are critical to the success of such programmes and broader policy (Universal Credit) that focuses on supporting people to move into and progress in work.

As Kickstart comes to an end, now is an important time to reflect on the employer’s experience - what has worked well, what has worked less well, and can any lessons be learned for future programmes and policies?

How should Jobcentres and other agencies work with employers to support Greater Manchester residents to move into and progress in work?

As economic uncertainty continues, and the UK faces pressing recruitment challenges in key sectors, it is critical that the voices of employers – the job creators - are heard on this important policy area.

Join us for this free event which will:

• Celebrate successes of the Kickstart programme

• Reflect on lessons learned for future employer engagement

• Introduce a ground-breaking new research project which aims to raise the voice of employers on this important policy area

• Provide space for networking
