Jay Darkmoore is a UK-based best-selling author with nearly 10 years’ experience in front line policing. However, when Jay found himself on the wrong side of the system, he noticed it was filled with cracks, secrets, and corruption.
Jay now makes it his mission to not only expose the organisation and hold it to account, but also to support the everyday heroes that run towards danger.
As well as his bestselling police memoir, Jay has published crime thrillers, inspired by his time on the front line. Jay states he doesn’t need to invent monsters. They are around us all the time.
Jay likes putting his characters in terrible situations and then turning out all the lights. To date, he has published over fifteen novels, including a best-selling police memoir, and a British crime fiction series.
When not at his desk, Jay spends his free time podcasting, commentating on social and political topics, running through hills, lifting weights and taking cold plunges with ducks.
He is the father to his son Joe who is his biggest fan.
Jay will share insights into writing nonfiction and thrillers in this relaxed session - the second of our brand new monthly Off The Page events.
