Age Allies Programme Design (Stakeholder Focus Group 30/03/17)
Thu 30 March 2017, 09:30 – 11:00 BST
Whether it’s building design or banking, housing or health care, leisure activities or local authorities, older people are increasingly shown to experience ageist attitudes and behaviours when accessing various services.
Age Allies is a brand new 3 years programme being developed by Age UK London that will help tackle age discrimination and issues around access to services in London. Funded by the City Bridge Trust, it will develop and deliver a series of workshops within various public organisations (such as Councils, housing associations, NHS organisations) and private sector companies who then pledge to make improvements to service delivery and staff attitudes towards older users. Participants will then cascade and promote the Age Allies agenda within their organisations.
We are holding a focus group for representatives of key public sector organisations and private sector firms from across London – and would love your organisations’ valuable insight and involvement from a service provider’s perspective. We want to understand the challenges of serving older people and how improvements could be made in service design and delivery?
Help us challenge ageism in London by coming along to our Stakeholder Focus Groups taking place at the Age UK London offices on:
