About this event

Please note this training opportunity is exclusive to LeedsBID levy paying businesses only.

Join Sarah Prescott from Leeds Older People’s Forum for an engaging session designed to help businesses across Leeds become more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to older people and individuals living with dementia.

As part of the Age and Dementia Friendly Business Scheme, this session will introduce simple and practical steps that your business can take to support all customers, therefore helping to create a city where everyone can feel valued and included.

Key benefits for participating businesses, include:

  • Practical resources and access to staff training
  • Public recognition via the Leeds Directory and Leeds Older People’s Forum
  • Promotional support and social media exposure
  • Opportunities to better engage with older customers and local volunteers

Alongside the opportunity to find out more about the scheme, Sarah will also be delivering a Dementia Friends Awareness Session. A Dementia Friend is somebody that learns about dementia so they can help their workplace, community or family be more dementia friendly.

Learn about what it's like to live with dementia and turn this understanding into action. Explore how small actions in the workplace and community can make a big difference.
