We would like to invite you to a conference organised by SEARCH to celebrate 40 years of promoting health and happiness with people 50+ in Newcastle.
The event starts at 12pm and lunch is served at 12.15pm.
The aim of the day will be to bring people together and discuss what makes Newcastle a great place to grow older and what could be done to make things even better! The information gathered will be used by SEARCH to ensure that the views of the community are heard where and when it matters.
On the day:
Professor Tom Scharf will be presenting "Responses to loneliness and social isolation".
This will be followed by examples of practical responses from community organisations to this topic.
Natalie Turner (from The Centre For Ageing Better) will then present their report on the state of ageing in 2019.
Table top discussions will follow and a report from the information gathered will be produced.
The conference will close at 4pm.
