Ageing Equally in Greater Manchester? Learning from minority experiences of ageing

The Ambition for Ageing Equalities Board is holding a free public event to explore some of our research findings and launch our new community research programme.

At the event we will:

• Share what we have learned from our research so far, about how older people from minority communities, and people who face particular forms of discrimination, experience their local neighbourhoods.

• Explain and explore the ways we have done this research.

• Reflect on the complexity and diversity within minority communities

• Hear from YOU about the communities YOU know about, to inform our new research programme, ‘Ageing Equally?’

• Hold a briefing session on how to apply for up to £8,000 for a community research project through ‘Ageing Equally?’

• Anyone interested in equalities and ageing

• Anyone interested in community research

• Older people who live in Greater Manchester who understand marginalisation and what it means to be part of a minority community.

• Members of organisations of any kind who would like to take part in the Ageing Equally? community research programme
