Welcome to the Ageing Research Café!
These 45-minute slots have been organised for you to give a pitch about your research idea followed by an informal chat with public partners who are keen to be more involved in early research development, so don’t worry if your idea is only half-formed.
This is not a slot for formal PPT presentations or serious critique. It is the opportunity to have an informal chat with public partners where you discuss your research interests with someone you might not normally do that with. They might ask you questions that you hadn’t thought of; they might tell you how your idea is important from their perspective. Hopefully, they will inspire you to develop your idea further, and talking to them might crystallise your interests into a researchable idea.
A researcher will be there to provide support, introduce the café and be there to offer input if there is time.
This is a free event. The costs for reimburing public partners for their time is funded through the Vivensa Foundation Academy Senior Leaders Award.
