About this event

Why Agile?

Do you find yourself stuck? Do projects take ages to get off the ground? Is it tricky to stay on top of tasks when your team is remote? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, Agile might be the answer. Agile is a methodology developed in the software industry, but its principles around managing projects can be transformative in any environment where people are trying to get things done and make an impact.

Agile...

  • Has users at the centre
  • Allows teams to adapt to a changing environment
  • Decreases risk by working iteratively
  • Saves time, saves money, and delivers value

If you think those things could benefit your work, then read on…

You’ll get an introduction to the principles of Agile and the Agile manifesto, an overview of how to run Agile teams and projects, and apply the theory in practical demonstrations, games and tasks. Importantly, do you not have to have any level of prior knowledge of Agile and/or tech. This training is for everyone.

Who is it for?

You don't need to have any experience of using Agile, and you certainly don't need to be in a tech role.

As this is part funded by our UK Shared Prosperity fund you will be contacted by our Academy Team to arrange a 10 minute Zoom call to complete the sign up paperwork.

There are some fully funded places available for individuals please get in contact for more details.

During the course you will:

  • Receive an introduction to The History of Agile, The Agile Manifesto and the 12 Principles of Agile
  • Receive an overview of the roles in a Scrum team Prioritise and Estimate a Product Backlog
  • Run a Sprint
  • Review and Reflect on your progress and ways to continuously improve

As this training is Part-Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund there will be some paperwork for attendees to complete. A member of our Academy Team will be in touch.
