Event description

Description

This years event theme is Bridging the Gap between Theory and Practice. The aim of our learning event is twofold:

  • to showcase the research that is driving forwards current practice in physiotherapy with older people with an emphasis on how it can be practically implemented

  • to demonstrate how services have implemented best practice using quality improvement methodology.


This years learning event is taking place in central Glasgow at Glasgow Caledonian University Campus.


Programme includes speakers working within balance rehab, promoting activity with older people, parkinson's disease warriors, frailty teams, the use of apps and technology within practice, to name but a few.

Travel to the conference

GCU is in central Glasgow and very close to both Glasgow Queen St station and Buchanan Bus station. There is also a frequent bus service from Glasgow airport to the city centre. Full details of travel can be found at: https://www.gcu.ac.uk/theuniversity/howtofindus/traveldirections/

Social events

There will be a dinner on Saturday night to which all delegates are invited to attend. Tickets for this will be booked at the same time as your event ticket via the Eventbrite booking system.

There will be an opportunity to participate in a run or walk on Sunday morning before the conference starts for the day.


AGILE terms and conditions

  • Payment should be made in full with your application via the Eventbrite link
  • Unfortunately, AGILE cannot accept invoices from your workplace
  • I understand that if I wish to withdraw my application at short notice (less than 3 weeks before the event) I will still be charged.
  • If you wish to cancel your application prior to this, you will be refunded in proportion to the charges the venue and Eventbrite will impose against AGILE.
  • If the conference is cancelled due to circumstances out with AGILEs control, we will endeavour in the first instance to re-arrange the date of conference and to honour all bookings.
  • If this is not possible then refunds will be offered. AGILE will make every effort to refund conference delegates in full. However AGILE reserve the right to offer a percentage refund if non-recoverable charges are imposed by the venue or Eventbrite.
