Back by popular demand, we welcome Jon McNestrie from Agile North East for a day long workshop that includes a structured introduction to agile principles, Scrum and other complimentary tools and techniques.

The day will cover a mix of a number of hands on activities and exercises to help people to understand the power of agile techniques and taught material.

Jon will talk us through:

  • Context and History of Agile Development

  • The Nuts & Bolts of Scrum

  • Agile Estimating & Forecasting

Example hands on activities may include:

  • The Lego Requirements Document (Collaboration exercise)

  • Product Owner Personas

  • Zoo Points (Relative Estimating)

  • Backlog Planning (Library Scenario)

Jon is a trainer and coach who enjoys helping people to build valuable and successful products and services. Over the years he has been called many things (!) ranging from Developer to Architect to Scrum Master or Product Owner. Jon runs the local 'Agile North East' meetup group and is only mildly obsessed with Lego.
