Overview
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of agile working at our brand new event, ‘Agile working: promoting health, productivity and flexibility’.
This free, day-long event will take you on a journey through the core principles and challenges of managing an agile workforce. It will be delivered in three parts:
Part 1 - A day in the life of an agile worker
Speakers: Katharine Metters
Bios: Katharine is a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, holds a Masters Degree in Ergonomics and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety and Health. This unique combination of qualifications, together with her vast range of experience working within healthcare, food, retail and utility sectors, enables Katharine to offer a very broad based range of training, education and health & safety management in the workplace.
Part 2 - Training a workforce on the move
Speaker: Ryan Church
Bio: Prior to joining Posturite, Ryan spent three years as a personal trainer and a further three in the telecoms industry. This gave him a sound understanding of both the human body and the various technologies that can be found in the marketplace, all of which can be closely related to the products and services provided by Posturite’s WorkRite division. His role now is primarily to ensure our customers understand the features and benefits of our suite of e-learning courses and systems.
Part 3 - Legal considerations around agile working
Speakers: Owen John & Fiona Sinclair, Darwin Gray
Bios: Owen is an employment lawyer at Darwin Gray. He advises employers and employees on all areas of employment law, from the start of the employment relationship right through to the end and beyond, including dealing with Employment Tribunal claims. He has extensive experience in advising on the legal issues which arise out of agile working. He is experienced in delivering training sessions on employment law.
Fiona is an HR Consultant at Darwin Gray. Part of the Employment & HR team, Fiona works closely with the employment lawyers, providing a unified HR and employment law advice service to clients. In addition to supporting her clients with a wide variety of day-to-day HR issues, Fiona regularly advises clients on managing employee performance and assists them in implementing employee wellbeing strategies to tackle sickness absence and improve employee engagement. Fiona is also an experienced trainer and facilitator.
Alongside these educational talks, you will be provided with lunch, refreshments and a mini exhibition featuring some of our core agile working products. The exhibition is a fantastic opportunity for you to see and try out many of the products you may have seen online, including sit-stand desks, ergonomic chairs and ergonomic accessories for tablets and laptops. Our experts will be on-hand to answer any questions you have about agile working or anything else related to workplace health, happiness and productivity - plus you’ll be able to take home many free resources, including advice sheets, posters and flyers.

Our agile working event is open to anybody with an interest in agile working - whether you’re an existing client, a business owner, manager, or a professional in employee health, safety, wellbeing, or procurement.
