Guest Speaker: Myira Khan

Myira Khan is a qualified counsellor and supervisor, working from her private counselling service in Leicester, with adults, couples, children and young people. Myira has worked in a range of counselling settings including voluntary and charitable services as well as at the University of Leicester Student Counselling Service for three years. Alongside her clinical work, Myira is also an Associate Tutor at the University of Leicester on their counsellor trainee courses and also delivers independent counselling training and workshops at CPD events across the UK.

Myira is the founder of the Muslim Counsellor and Psychotherapist Network, which aims to connect and support Muslim counsellors, therapists and psychologists (trainee and qualified) alongside increasing the visibility and representation of the diverse Muslim practitioners in the mental health field.
