AGM - and Ukelele Workshop
Thu 5 May 2016, 18:30 – 21:00 BST
Yes you did read that correctly! Following our AGM, we will be running a fun and energetic workshop where you will learn to play a couple of popular songs on the ukelele.
Lorraine Bow of Musivate will lead this fun, energetic session which aims to bring everyone together in harmony. No prior musical experience is necessary. The ukelele is easier than many instruments and you can learn to make music in around an hour.
Lorraine has worked with organisations from Google and Pwc to Asos and Warner Bros, leading sessions designed to help build motivation, gel teams and encourage well-being. She has had some 'life-changing' moments with the ukelele, such as organising a ukelele flash mob in Trafalgar Square and playing with Dizzee Rascal on Radio 1.
Her aim for the evening is to help everyone experience the excitement and joy that comes when you 'nail it', not to mention the satisfaction for some of knowing that the music teacher at school was wrong about your talents and uke can play (sorry).
This promises to be a popular event, so make sure you book your place early.
