Agreement Trialling EYFS Profile

Lewisham Early Years Quality and Sufficiency Team

Target Audience:   Teachers, Managers and practitioners working with Reception aged children ie: children who will be five years old before 31st August 2017. All practitioners responsible for completing the EYFS profile should aim to attend one of these sessions regardless of whether they have attended the introduction to EYFS Profile training or any previous agreement trialling sessions. Yr 1 teachers are also welcome on these sessions.

Free for the first two delegates and £40 for any additional SLA delegates / Non SLA - £80

Course Description:

The EYFSP assessment is still statutory until 2018.  It is usually completed by reception teachers. However, if a setting has children who are ‘reception’ age, and would otherwise be in school, the EYFS Profile must be completed by the setting.

This session will provide delegates with an opportunity to hear more about the moderation process and to take part in making judgements using the Early Learning Goals for Understanding the World.  The quality of assessments made in the EYFSP have been a strength of schools and settings in Lewisham and in order to maintain these high standards of accuracy we strongly recommend that all Reception teachers attend.  Moderators will be on hand to support discussions and the judgements being made.
