Agritourism: Getting Started with a Food Experience

Agritourism: Getting Started with a Food Experience

By Scotland's Agritourism Monitor Farms Programme

Overview

The focus will be on understanding your target markets and driving the right people to your business

Do you know who your target market is? How do you make sure that the right people find your business? Join us for a session about developing successful food experiences that connect with the target audience.

You’ll learn how to identify your target market, shape your offer to suit, and attract the right people to your business through effective storytelling and marketing.

You will hear from Fiona Smith of Westerton Farmers, Agritourism Monitor Farmer, who will share her experiences of developing the food experience at Westerton. We will have a look around the newly installed kitchen and hear about future plans. Sample dishes from their new menu will be available for you to try on the day.

Karen Neill, Denhead Farm will share how the Farmstand at Denhead came about and has developed over the last few years including establishing a food offer to meet demand.

Whether you are starting from scratch or developing your existing offer, this session is for you.
