We will welcome, Lesley McArthur, Glen Clova Estate Partner, will join us to talk about her experience running a successful rural hotel and restaurant business and will highlight the continuing challenges but also the opportunities for the business. Glen Clova is a small country hotel situated at the foot of beautiful Glen Doll in the Cairngorms National Park offering both hotel and self-catering accommodation providing good food & drink and a focus on genuine hospitality.

Glen Clova Hotel have recently undertaken a significant capital development with a new events space called The Barn which continues their focus on sustainability, local impact with a warm, personal service.

Fiona and John Scott, Monitor Farmers, will update attendees on the business plan, the project timeline and the challenges they have overcome along the way.

There will be a walk around the hotel development and you will hear about the progress to date.

Scotland's Agritourism Monitor Farm programme supports agritourism, rural tourism and food and drink businesses to invest and grow, driving benefit to the rural economy and beyond.

The programme is delivered by Cas Millar Consulting and managed by Scottish Enterprise on behalf of the Scottish Government.

The 2023-2026 programme will support four hundred businesses across Scotland. Four core monitor farms will be located - one in the Highlands and Islands Enterprise area, one in the South of Scotland Enterprise area and two in the Scottish Enterprise area.
