On 24th September 2025, Angle House Education & EHLDC is hosting a Specialist & Core CPD talk (online) delivered by Sandra Smith (Cross Infection Prevention Expert)

This lecture is designed for the whole dental team and will provide detailed information about current and new cross infection prevention guidelines.

Angle House Education & EHLDC Core CPD Symposium - IPC & Decontamination Training

Aims: To give an overview of the latest Infection control and dental decontamination guidance known as HTM 01-05

Objectives

• To recall essential quality requirements of HTM 01-05
• To demonstrate good hand hygiene
• Recall the immunisation schedule for health care workers.

Learning Outcome:

• Delegates will be able to apply current IPC guidance in practice
• Understand their responsibilities concerning infection prevention and control and be able to implement the new cross-infection control updates (2025)

Speakers Bio:

Sandra Smith:

Sandra has worked in general dental practice and within the community dental service. Sandra has a Degree in Health Protection and Infection Control. Sandra was employed as Dental Infection Control Advisor for three PCTs between 2005 to 2015, providing infection control advice, support and training to 140 dental practices in South London. Sandra is now Director of Infection Control Specialists.

This evening will provide 3 hours of Verifiable Core CPD.
