The lecture is designed for the whole dental team.

AHE & EHLDC Core Specialist CPD Symposium - Paedriatric Care Pathways

Aims :

Understand the new referral methods for general dental networks and community Dentistry for children

Objectives:

• Have a better understanding of how the services delivered in General practice, Specialist Practice, the Community Dental Service and in Hospitals

• Understand the principles of shared care

• Receive an overview of referral and advice pathways in North West and North Central London

• Discuss options for management of compromised first permanent molars

Learning objectives:

By the end of this session the attendees should be aware of different methods for collaboration and shared care, be able to share care for compromised first permanent molars where appropriate and know how and when to seek advice and guidance.

GDC developmental outcomes A, C and D all these domains have direct relevance to the implementation of best practice for the dental team.

Dr Armaana Ahmad

Qualifying from KCL in 2005, Armaana spent 10 years as an NHS General Dental Practitioner, where she worked under both the UDA and Pilot Dental Contracts before branching out into CDS and Hospital Dentistry and completing speciality training in paediatric dentistry at UCLH in 2021. Working as a specialist in CDS she works closely with colleagues in all settings of dentistry drawing on her experiences of being at the sharp end of dentistry in all.

This evening will provide 2 hour of Verifiable Core CPD.
