What is "Pitch to Collaborate"?

We will be trying something new at the next meeting! The aim of the “Pitch to Collaborate” session is to provide a platform where colleagues can share ideas for topics they would like to explore in greater depth, outside the network meetings.

These should be topics you’d like to form a working group around, which could represent network priorities or challenges that can’t necessarily be addressed by a single institution (for example, forming a joint-bid, shared funding mechanisms, forming a joint-policy/guideline document, other problems you’d like to solve, etc.)

It is envisioned that participants will pitch ideas, then self-form into working groups to discuss the topic, set their own aims and actions, and present back on progress or learnings at the next network meeting. The proposed format for the session is:

  • 1 minute pitch
  • Ideas are recorded
  • Groups self-form
  • 30-60 minutes to map out aims, outcomes and next steps for group
  • Option for changeover time

The current organising group of the network consists of:

Andy Newnham – University of Birmingham

Andrew Wray – Bristol University

Anne Sofie Laegran – University of Edinburgh

Britta Wyatt – Oxentia Ltd

Bruce Ethrington – Cardiff University

Isla Millar – University of Warwick

Mark Mann – Oxford University
