AI Essentials - An Introduction for All

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become mainstream. It seems to be everywhere these days with stories hitting the headlines everyday. You may already be trying it out or even using it on a regular basis. But you may still have unanswered questions.

Join us as we provide a comprehensive introduction to AI and answer questions such as...

  • What can AI do / not do?
  • How does AI work?
  • Where does AI get its data from?
  • Where does AI come from? What’s its history?
  • Where can I expect to encounter AI today?
  • What are the risks of using AI?
  • What is meant by Responsible AI?
  • When should I use AI?
  • How do I use AI safely?
  • What is the environmental impact?
  • Just how clever is it?
  • Which is the best AI?
  • How much does it cost?
  • How do I protect my privacy and security?
  • Are there any legal considerations?
  • Can I trust AI?

And ultimately, should I care? Is AI going to impact me? And what should/can I do about it?

Everyone is invited. No prior knowledge is required or assumed. The webinars are designed to make AI accessible to everyone - regardless of your industry, role or seniority. Teachers, social workers, payroll managers, gardeners, recruitment consultants, retirees and home-makers have all joined us on past sessions. And we occasionally even let technology specialists and executive IT leaders join us!

This event is hosted by Peter Gross of Advantage AI. Peter's career spans over 30 years working at the forefront of advanced technologies helping some of the world's most complex organisations with their IT, data and AI challenges.

This is an informal and independent webinar where questions and challenges are not only expected but actively encouraged. There is a structure and script, but we're happy to deviate and over-run to ensure participants get the most out each session.

Important: Event registration steps

There are 3 steps to secure your place...

  1. Reserve and pay for your place here on Eventbrite.
  2. Register on the private Microsoft Teams using the link we’ll share with you.
  3. Complete a pre-event form that we will also email to you.

All 3 steps are mandatory and all must be completed 24 hours before the event.

Failure to stick to the process could result in your place being cancelled!

Tip: We recommend you take the AI Essentials Test before buying a ticket. Some people that pass the test do still join the webinars, but passing may also suggest you already have the foundations covered and you may want to consider spending your hard-earned cash on events that go beyond the scope of this event.

AI is the new normal. Are you ready?
