Overview

A clear, jargon-free introduction to AI – what it is, how it works, and what it can and can’t do. No prior knowledge needed.

Artificial Intelligence is increasingly present across UK organisations, systems and services, yet many people feel they are expected to understand it without ever having been given a proper starting point.

This one-hour webinar is an absolute basics introduction to AI, designed for professionals who want clarity without technical language or assumptions. It explains what AI actually is, how it works at a high level, and why it behaves the way it does, using plain English and practical examples.

The session is intentionally non-technical, non-judgemental and question-friendly. It is suitable for anyone encountering AI in their workplace, hearing about AI in organisational planning, or wanting to build a solid foundation of understanding.

As a consultant working across a wide range of UK organisations, I regularly see people who feel unsure, overwhelmed, or reluctant to ask what they worry are “basic” questions. This session recognises that this is where everyone’s knowledge needs to start.

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  • Understand what AI is and what it is not
  • Have a clear, high-level understanding of how modern AI systems work
  • Feel more confident engaging in conversations about AI
  • Be better prepared for future learning, tools and decisions involving AI

No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity.
