Event description
An everybody-welcome Question & Answer panel event to raise issues, questions or concerns related to Artificial Intelligence and robots.

About this Event

Bletchley Park

The field of Artificial Intelligence started in 1956 when a group of scientists met to follow up on fundamental questions posed by scientists such as Alan Turing, whose work at Bletchley Park played a key role in World War II.

Turing's challenge of getting a computer to beat the world chess champion took decades to achieve but in recent years we have seen rapid breakthroughs with AI that can play GO, drive a car and analyse medical images.

What does the future hold?

The pace of change makes forecasting more difficult than ever. This event will provide insights into the state of the art, and address the benefits, questions and fears people have about the impact that artificial intelligence and robots could have on our daily lives.
