About this event

Science & Tech • Science

Kyle will speak from his global experience at the intersection of technology,

democracy, and human rights. Drawing on his work as an author,

campaigner, and policy advisor, he will explore how artificial intelligence is

reshaping societies — from the supposed promises of innovation to the

perils of unchecked power.

Kyle has written extensively on big tech, disinformation, and regulation,

and has advised governments, civil society, and industry on safeguarding

democracy in the AI age. He recently completed a visiting fellowship at the

UN Peace Centre in Tokyo, Japan and is currently campaigning on the UK

government's upcoming Elections Bill and AI policies. He will challenge us

to ask: is AI working for humanity, or against it?
