AI for SDGs - Achieving Decent Work and Future Ready Skills in the Age of AI
About this event
In December 2020 our programme on 'AI for SDGs' was launched in partnership with Albert Hirschman Centre on Democracy, Graduate Institute Geneva. As part of the programme, we aim to address each of the 17 SDGs to develop a detailed roadmap along the year and the first event on this series was held on SDG 5 - Gender Equality on 5th March 2021. The event titled 'Achieving Decent Work and Future Ready Skills in the Age of AI' is the second in the series and will be held on 6th May 2021, 11.00am - 1.00pm BST, London.
This event will bring together leaders, diplomats, scholars, entrepreneurs, and broader public private communities in the field of AI, Emerging Technologies and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to discuss:
- The fundamental barriers to equality embedded in the design and purpose of AI technologies.
- Understand the existing and emerging policies related to AI such as those surrounding privacy and design which will have an impact on equal employment.
- Deliberate on the future job market.
- Identify emerging needs and opportunities for re-skilling and up-skilling of workforce in countries.
