We aim to have interested members of the public, civil society, academia and industry participate in the AI Fringe: Seoul Summit. We would encourage members of all communities - particularly underrepresented communities - to register for tickets as soon as possible.

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is free for those who have registered for tickets.

What is the timing of the event?

Accepted Answer

Registration opens at 0800 with the agenda starting at 0900. The event finishes at 1245.

Is breakfast provided?

Accepted Answer

A light breakfast will be provided for attendees from 0800-0850. Food is not permissible in the event theatre.

Does a ticket guarantee you entry to the AI Fringe: Seoul Summit?

Accepted Answer

Space is limited at the AI Fringe: Seoul Summit, and we will fill it to capacity. A ticket does not guarantee entry to the event.  We encourage you to arrive early.

Are there reserved seats for events at the AI Fringe: Seoul Summit?

Accepted Answer

Theatre seating at the AI Fringe: Seoul Summit is on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no reserved seats, so it’s a good idea to arrive early to ensure admission.

Will events at the AI Fringe: Seoul Summit be filmed?

Accepted Answer

The AI Fringe: Seoul Summit will be filmed, and recordings of the events will be available on the AI Fringe YouTube channel after the event.

If you have any accessibility needs related to events at the AI Fringe Hub, you can let us know by emailing hello@aifringe.org. Letting us know before your presence onsite at the event enables us to respond most effectively.

The AI Fringe: Seoul Summit venue has an elevator, wheelchair accessibility in the theatre, and accessible lavatories.

Code of Conduct: Why does the AI Fringe have a Code of Conduct?

Accepted Answer

The AI Fringe believes that AI conversations should be accessible and inclusive for everyone. As such, we are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, and religion.

Code of Conduct: What are the expectations for all participants in the AI Fringe event?

Accepted Answer

Refrain from unacceptable behaviour, including but not limited to intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning conduct of any kind, and offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.

Code of Conduct: What are expectations for images, photography and recording?

Accepted Answer

Refrain from inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces (including presentation slides), and harassing photography or recording.

Code of Conduct: What else is included in the Code of Conduct?

Accepted Answer

Refrain from deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following; sustained disruption of talks or other events; and inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.

Code of Conduct: What are the expectations of partners, event organisers, speakers and staff?

Accepted Answer

All partners, event organisers, speakers and staff must support inclusivity through thoughtful content, event design, and conduct.  They must ensure that event content in no way encourages harm to people or communities through the use of AI.

Code of Conduct: What is the expectation for anyone who is asked to stop unacceptable behaviour?

Accepted Answer

Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour by an AI Fringe staff member is expected to comply immediately.

Question 16

Code of Conduct: What actions by an AI Fringe staff member might result from unacceptable behaviour?

Accepted Answer

AI Fringe staff may take any reasonable action they deem appropriate to ensure that the behaviour stops. That includes but is not limited to: expulsion from the conference without warning, reporting the incident to the police, and removing relevant content from the AI Fringe website.

If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behaviour at an AI Fringe event, please contact the Registration Desk or reach out to the AI Fringe team at hello@aifringe.org.

We believe there is immense value in being exposed to new viewpoints — including ones that challenge your way of viewing the world. The AI Fringe is a place for thought-provoking conversations. Participants’ support of this code of conduct helps create an environment that is welcoming for all.
