AI-Powered OSH Ambassador: R&D on Digital Human & Visual Dialogue

This webinar showcases an AI-powered Digital Human OSH Ambassador designed for construction and industrial environments. The system uses real-time vision, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to detect hazards such as missing PPE, fall risks, and electrical exposures. It then provides context-aware OSH guidance based on both global and local regulations.

Speakers

Dr. Ivan Fung (Speaker)- CEO, iCARE Technology (HK) Limited
Dr. Ivan Fung is CEO of iCARE Technology and an adjunct professor in construction safety automation at Southwest Petroleum University. He holds a PhD in Construction Safety Management from CityU, where he also served as Assistant Professor and PhD Supervisor. His academic roles include research fellowships in AI at HKU and PolyU.

Dr. Fung contributed to Sing Tao Daily and HK Economic Journal and held leadership roles in HKISHP and HKICA. He advised tech firms, was an expert with the Innovation and Technology Commission, and was part of the HKSTPC and Cyberport research pools.

Mr. David Philp (Moderator)- Chair, CIOB Digital & Innovation Advisory Panel; Chief Value Officer, Bentley Systems (EMEA)

David Philp is a Chartered Construction Manager with over 30 years of experience in digital transformation and asset management. As Chair of the CIOB Digital & Innovation Advisory Panel, he led the development of the CIOB AI Playbook. At Cohesive, he drives client-focused strategies across asset lifecycles. He has held senior roles at Balfour Beatty, Mace, and AECOM, and was Head of BIM Implementation at the UK Cabinet Office, contributing to the UK public sector BIM mandate.
