Description

This is a meeting organized by AIH Support UK for anyone affected by autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). Listen to talks by Professors David Adams and Gideon Hirschfield from Birmingham University and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, learn about the diagnosis and treatment of AIH from these experts, find out about the current and future research into the condition and most importantly meet others affected by AIH and share experiences. Partners and carers are also welcome.

The meeting will start at approximately 12:30 with an informal get together and the expert talks will commence at about 13:30. We will finish at 16:30/17:00.

Where precisely is the meeting?

The meeting is at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Mindelsohn Way, Birmingham B15 2TH. It is in the Education Centre which is on the first floor just above the main entrance. We will forward detailed instructions nearer the time.

What are my transport/parking options?

You can get to the hospital by car, train or bus. The hospital car parking should have plenty of room on a Saturday but normal charges do apply.

Is there a charge for the meeting?

No there is no charge to attend. The hospital have provided the facilities free of charge and the speakers/organisers are all giving their time for free.

Will refreshments be provided?

We hope to be able to provide refreshments but if not there are places at the hospital to buy sandwiches etc. We will send you more information nearer the time.
