About The AIM Preparing To Prosper Events

Since 2015, AIM members across the UK have been using the AIM Hallmarks of Prospering Museums to make a big difference to their success.

At events this winter, AIM is launching ‘Preparing to Prosper’, a new publication that shows how to use the AIM Hallmarks to benefit your museum, including case studies, new insights and questions to help you think about the way you work.

The new publication distils the best ideas from museums that have used the AIM Hallmarks, so that you can put them into practice immediately at your organisation to see positive results quickly.

’Preparing to Prosper’ will be launched at three special events this winter. Attendees will be able to get an exclusive hard copy before it is published next year.

Each event will feature keynote speaker, Moira Sinclair, CEO of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and case studies from AIM members that have used the AIM Hallmarks of Prospering Museums to succeed. There will be lots of time for discussion and networking with other AIM members.

The Benefits Of Attending

The ‘Preparing to Prosper’ events will also feature:

*Insights from our special guest speaker, Moira Sinclair, Chief Executive of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation - a major thinker about resilience in the cultural sector

*Case studies from AIM members that have successfully used the AIM Hallmarks. Speakers will be:

*Helen Bonser-Wilton (Mary Rose Trust); Steve Gardam (Roald Dahl Museum); Vicky Hope-Walker (National Paralympic Heritage Trust)

*Workshops to facilitate discussion and idea sharing with other AIM members

*Networking and informal discussion with other AIM members facing the same challenges as you, AIM staff and AIM Council members

*Lunch

The events are now open for booking and both AIM members and non-members are welcome to attend. Tickets cost £25. Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

AIM members can also apply for an AIM Training Grant to help cover the cost of travel and accommodation to any of these events up until 18 December.
