About this event

Health • Medical

The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre wants to run a feasbility study that explores how serial MRI scans can be used to improve outcomes for patients who are have radiotherapy (RT) for a glioblastoma (GBM). A feasibility study tests whether the study is doable.

It maybe that having serial MRI scans during RT could show:

  • if the GBM has shrunk or grown
  • alterations in the GBM boundaries which could impact on the dose of RT given
  • changes in the cavity left by surgery which could impact on where RT is given.

The clinicians designing the study really need your input to see if having additional MRI scans during treatment is acceptable. Please come along to meet the study team and let them know what you think about the AIR GLIO study.
