Air Quality Positive and Air Quality Neutral LPG - AQ professionals event
Event Information
About this event
Improving London’s air quality is one of the major challenges facing the capital.
To help improve London's air quality, Policy SI 1 of the London Plan includes requirements for new development to be Air Quality Neutral or Air Quality Positive, depending on their scale. To assist developers, boroughs and others involved in designing and planning new development, draft London Plan Guidance (LPG) on air quality has been prepared.
The Air Quality Neutral LPG sets air quality benchmarks for all development, in order to ensure that their transport and building emissions do not worsen air quality in London.
The Air Quality Positive LPG outlines the London Plan's Air Quality Positive approach. This approach aims to maximise the benefits to local air quality in and around large-scale development in London. It requires planners, designers, architects and air quality experts to show what measures have been taken during the design stages to achieve the best possible outcomes for air quality.
This event is aimed at developers, architects and AQ professionals to explain and explore the draft guidance and will be held over Microsoft Teams.
