ALA Oxon and Bucks are delighted to invite you to a tour of Addingrove Dairy on Thursday 18th September 2025 at 4pm followed by drinks and supper.
Addingrove Dairy is a collaboration between the previous landowner and tenants of Addingrove Farm. The Aubrey Fletcher estate trading as Chilton Home Farms Ltd put in the capital and owns the youngstock. Family partnership P J Johnson & Sons effectively contract farm the dairy using their labour and their cows. The state-of-the-art dairy was fully completed in March 23 after planning was granted on a green field site. Everything in the building is geared around current welfare ideals including a voluntary milking system (VMS) - four robots milk the cows as they walk themselves up, an ID responder tag in their ear links to the computer to receive and give instruction such as litres given, feed rations, milking permissions, etc. The addition of a milk vending facility came into action in September 2023 where members of the public can purchase milk that has been pasteurised on the farm and buy other seasonal goods from a self vending machine.
