Alan Hollinghurst is an English novelist, celebrated for his explorations of gay life and desire. He won the 2004 Booker Prize for The Line of Beauty. His debut novel, The Swimming-Pool Library (1988), was groundbreaking in its frank portrayal of gay relationships. Hollinghurst is regarded as one of Britain’s most important contemporary novelists.
Dr. Diarmuid Hester is a writer, cultural historian, and activist known for exploring queer lives and spaces. He teaches at the University of Cambridge and is the author of Nothing Ever Just Disappears.
