Albania 4×4 Adventure 16 nights June/July 2020

Multiple options available;

• Fully escorted from the UK to Albania. We will set off from the UK on Sunday 28th June and make our way through mainland Europe to the Port of Ancona, Italy. Travel and accommodation costs for this part of the expedition are not included, but I can give advice.

• Semi-Independent travellers – 30th June 2020 meet at the Port of Ancona to set sail overnight for Durres, Albania.

• Independent Travellers – Meet in Durres, Albania on Wednesday 1st July 2020. May suit anyone who wishes to drive through the Balkans to meet the tour group.

• ALL PRICES ARE BASED ON ONE VEHICLE INCLUDING DRIVER AND CO-DRIVER/NAVIGATOR. OPTION AVAILABLE TO ADD ADDITIONAL TRAVELLERS. CONTACT ME FOR MORE DETAILS.

What’s the itinerary?

Tuesday 30th June 2020 - Semi Independent and Fully Escorted Tours ONLY.

19:00hrs We will meet at the Port and prepare for the 22:00hrs sailing to Durres, Albania. Ferry only included in fully escorted option (ONLY AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE)

Wednesday 1st July 2020 - All Tours

15:00hrs Disembark ferry. After meeting the local guide we will head to our first night in Hotel accommodation.

Thursday 2nd July 2020 and Friday 3rd July 2020 – 2 nights wild camping

Saturday 4th July Cermenika to Tirana

Sunday 5th July - Rest day in the capital of Albania -Tirana.

Monday 6th July - Tirana to Mokra - Wild Camping

Tuesday 7th July - Mokra to Berat

Wednesday 8th July - Berat to Skrapar - Wild Camping

Thursday 9th July - Skrapar to Gjirokastra (UNESCO World Heritage site)

Friday 10th July - Rest day Gjirokastra

Saturday 11th July - Gjirokastra to Zagoria - Wild Camping

Sunday 12th July - Zagoria to Nivica - Homestay.

Monday 13th July - Nivica to The Albanian Riviera

Tuesday 14th July - Rest day on the Albanian Riviera.

Wednesday 15th July - Riviera to Igoumenitsa, Greece.

Thursday 16th July - Cross into mainland Greece for our sailing to Ancona or Venice. After disembarkation you can continue to explore Europe at your own pace or head home.

Routes will include river crossing, mountains passes, canyons. We will also include overnight homestays where we are greeted with local food and culture.

We will explore the North and South of Albania with its varied terrain and amazing scenery. You will experience a mixture of wild camping, home stays and quirky Balkan hotels.

This trip is for those with an adventurous spirit.

What about your vehicle?

Your vehicle should have All terrain Tyres, low range and be well maintained and serviced.

I can’t make the whole trip. Is there another option?

14 nights in Albania experiencing some of the best rugged terrain driving in Europe and the culture of this wonderful country.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Individuals, groups and families of all ages are wlecome. Just bear in mind that we will be wild camping and exploring moutainous regions, so this may not be auitabel for younger travellers.

What are my transport options for getting to and from the event?

There are 3 options as described above. You will need to cover your fuel, insurance, road tolls, food and personal expenses.

What can I bring into the event?

A well equiped 4x4 vehicles with a minimum of all terrain tyres and low range. Full camping equipment required and the ability to be self-sufficient for up to 7 days. Contact me for a full overland tour guide by email.

What's the refund policy?

As per my website. CAncellation with less than 60 days notice will be subject to fees. All ferry crossings are NON- REFuNDABLE

Can I update my registration information?

Yes. Just get in touch by email and I will send you a link to the booking form.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, but it will be subject to a fee of up to £95 per person attending.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No. Attendees must update their details at least 28 days prior to travel. Any last minute changes are subject to a discretionary fee and further charges as per ferry and travel company policies. Any cross border bookings MUST be correct to comply with local immigration regulations. Any costs incurred will be payable by the attendee(s).
